Apparently, not all Bravo shows are created equally. Because even though The Valley, which is kind of/sort of a Vanderpump Rules spinoff, was green-lit for a second season before Season 1 was even over, there is no reunion to give the messy cast a chance to meet up and re-hash their issues on-screen for viewers to see.

But why isn't there a reunion for The Valley Season 1? By all accounts, and thanks to the major drama between some of the cast members, a reunion would be the best place to continue said drama. That's certainly how they do things each season on Vanderpump Rules. But for The Valley, things are a bit different. And two of the show's biggest stars, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, shared some insight about it on their podcast.

Why isn't there a reunion for 'The Valley' Season 1?

On a reddit thread about the lack of a reunion for the Valley's inaugural season, someone shared that they heard a rumor that the show had begun filming again in May 2024. Another wrote that they believe the cast wasn't contractually obligated to film a reunion, whether it was for one episode or multiple parts, a la Vanderpump Rules.

On May 2, stars of The Valley, Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, shared on their podcast Balancing Act that Season 1 wouldn't have a reunion. Luke said that the rumor about there not being a reunion was "100 percent true." While some fans would love to see other stars of the Bravo series in the hot seat during an Andy Cohen-led reunion special, others believe that there's no reunion because filming for the second season is already underway.

A user on reddit pointed out that "the first season of Summer House had 10 episodes and no reunion." So it could just also be a situation where The Valley didn't get a reunion because its such a fresh show in its Bravo journey.

Jax and Brittany opened up about 'The Valley's lack of a reunion on their podcast.

On May 10, Jax and Brittany shared on their podcast, When Reality Hits, that they do have some ideas about what they would have liked to talk about or address if there had been a reunion for The Valley.

"I think the girls, maybe Janet and Kristen and Michelle, would probably want to address and probably see where they are right now,' Jax said. "I think that would probably be the biggest [thing]."

Brittany added that opening up about their relationship would have also been part of a reunion special. However, Jax interjected, he didn't want to "give too much away" about where everyone stands now.

"We're gonna go right back into filming soon," he revealed. And there's always next season for a full Vanderpump-sized reunion.

Watch The Valley on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
