You May Already Know New 'Love Island' Contestant, Winston Hines
Updated Feb. 19 2021, 10:36 a.m. ET
Former Big Brother contestant Winston Hines took it to social media to announce he will be on this season of the US’s version of Love Island. On the show’s latest episode, islander Caro had the choice to pick who she wanted to couple up with. In the end, she chose Cormac, thus sending Michael on his way back to Miami.
However, Love Island is full of surprises and special guests, so the audience never knows who’s going to make an appearance. In this case, Love Island hasn’t yet announced Winston’s arrival on the show, but it seems he couldn’t wait to spill the beans.
Winston wrote on Twitter, “Hey ya’ll — guess who is headed to @loveislandusa to shake things up in the villa this week? #loveislandusa #findadogmom #wish me luck”
Many questioned whether his announcement was a joke but after posting his tweet, he received the support from his former Big Brother roommates, who wished the star luck. Season 20 contestant, Rachel Swindler, tweeted, “So stoked for you Winston! I hope you find love! And if not, I’m always a 2,264-mile drive away.”
His really close friends and roommates, Brett Robinson, also congratulated the new contestant on his appearance. So it must be true! Following Winston’s news to the public, he shared a picture from two weeks ago of both Brett and himself on Instagram with the caption, “Is there any love for a couple bros on Love Island?”
Okay, but, who is Winston Hines?
Winston Hines is a 29-year-old medical sales representative from Somerset, KY. If you’re a reality tv fanatic, you may have seen him on season 20 of Big Brother. He didn’t make it to the finale and was unfortunately evicted from the house.
However, this could be Winston’s big shot of making it to the end—and hopefully finding a girlfriend to be Dixie’s new and only dog mom.
Winston loves his dog Dixie.
Winston is not shy about sharing pictures of him and his furry best friend, Dixie. He pretty much does everything with her, goes swimming, takes her for walks in the park, and even brings her along to sporting events. He is fairly open on social media about his relationship with his dog and hopes the lady he couples up with will love Dixie as well.
He loves staying active.
If anyone scrolled on Winston's Instagram, they could tell that he loves to indulge in staying active. He seems to love to box, hike, play football, and just overall loves working out.
With Winston's love for staying on the go, keeping his health in tact, and showing his soft side through his relationship with Dixie, Winston will make a great addition to the Love Island team.
When will Love Island announce Winston’s arrival?
No clue! After Michael’s elimination, Love Island’s social media team announced that two new girl’s will be entering tonight’s episode which means things are going to get hot and heavy in the villa. Though Winston said he’ll be making his appearance by the end of the week, only time can tell. Guess everyone will have to stay tuned for his appearance.
Watch Love Island Mondays through Friday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
