Eat for Cheap With These World Series Food Deals
Updated Oct. 23 2019, 6:03 p.m. ET
It turns out you don't need to watch baseball to thoroughly enjoy the World Series... who knew? In honor of the annual baseball extravaganza, there are several restaurants and chains that will be offering major deals on food. And to be honest, that is totally my kind of event.
So if you're down to eat for cheap from now until the games officially end, make sure to check out these delicious deals. I promise you won't need to watch all nine innings.
Hit a home run with these World Series food deals:
1. 50 Cent Oysters at a'Bouzy
If you happen to be watching the games from Houston, Tex., you're in luck. During each World Series game, according to Houstonia, customers at a'Bouzy will be able to get 50-cent oysters on the half shell.
No coupon required... just ask and you shall receive.
2. Free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell (Only Participating Locations)
Seeing as the first base steal of the World Series occurred during Game One (seriously unreal!), Taco Bell is — once again — running its "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion for the seventh year in a row. Thanks, Trea Turner!
To get in on the deal, fans can visit any participating location on Oct. 30 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time for free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos. Count me in.
3. 50% Off Your Bar Tab at Clyde's (All Locations)
If you happen to be D.C.-based, (and as long as you're at least 21 years of age), definitely make a point to stop at any Clyde's bar location for one helluva night out.
On any night the Nationals win, according to Eater, each patron’s tab between the last pitch and last call will be cut in half. Sounds like a dream night out to me, to be completely honest.
4. 15% Off Your To-Go Order at Red Lobster (All Locations)
Red Lobster offers so many ballpark-inspired appetizers that will definitely up your viewing party game — from lobster rolls, to popcorn shrimp, and — of course — the chain's classic Cheddar Bay Biscuits, which you can order to your doorstep.
And if you're hosting any viewing parties, make sure to order between now and Nov. 17, to get 15% off your To-Go order. According to the brand, all you have to do is use the code Lobster52 at checkout. Simple as that.
5. Major Food and Drink Discounts at Cuba Libre
The popular D.C.-based Cuban eatery is offering a slew of happy hour specials which include a variety of food and drink discounts, according to the DCist. Happy hour lasts from 4 p.m. to close, and meanwhile, you'll be able to watch the game on any of the wide-screen TVs in the bar area.
There are so many delicious deals to take advantage of this World Series season, so I would strongly advise taking advantage of them, if possible. Whether or not you're actually watching the game is entirely your choice, though. I won't tell anyone.
