Singer and actor Demi Lovato got their start on the children's show Barney & Friends, alongside BFF Selena Gomez, in 2002. Demi got their big break on the Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock, where they played Mitchie Torres, followed by their role on Sonny With a Chance in 2009. They signed with Hollywood Records in 2008 and released their first album "Don't Forget" the same year.
Demi went on to release two more albums, "Here We Go Again" and "Unbroken," which featured their first. No. 1 single, "Give Your Heart a Break." They have released six albums in total and sold over two million albums worldwide.
Demi has struggled with sobriety and mental health issues, and has been very open about their bipolar disorder diagnosis and struggle with eating disorders. In 2018, Demi suffered an opioid overdose and was hospitalized for two weeks before checking into rehab.
