Actress, author, and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik got her start as a child actress in the '80s before landing her big break on the '90s TV series Blossom, where she played the titular character.
She continued to work throughout the '90s and '00s, doing voice overs for popular animated series such as Hey Arnold! and Kim Possible and appearing in shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Fat Actress. At the same time, she earned a bachelor degree in neuroscience from UCLA in 2000, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in neuroscience in 2007.
In 2010 she joined the cast of The Big Bang Theory as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, where she remained until the series finale in 2019. Currently, Mayim is starring on the FOX series Call Me Kat, and was just named the host of Jeopardy! primetime specials and spinoffs.
Along with acting, Mayim is also the author of two books and founded Grok Nation, whose aim is to engage readers in online conversations that lead to offline action. She is also the proud mom of two sons, Miles and Frederick, with ex-husband Michael Stone.
