Singer, actress, and fashion icon Rihanna got her big break in 2005 when she was discovered and signed to Def Jam and released her first studio album "Music of the Sun." She quickly followed that album up with 2006's "A Girl Like Me," which featured her hit songs "SOS" and "Unfaithful."
In 2007, Rihanna earned her very first Grammy Award for her single, "Umbrella," off her album "Good Girl Gone Bad." She went on to release five more albums, her latest "Anti" hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in 2017. Overall, Rihanna has sold over 250 million albums worldwide and has 14 No. 1 songs, making her one of the best-selling musical artists of all time.
In 2017, Rihanna also founded her fashion house Fenty, which includes her makeup line Fenty Beauty and her lingerie collection Savage X Fenty. In 2021, Rihanna's net worth surpassed $1 billion. Rihanna established her non-profit Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012 in honor of her grandparents. She has also found time to dabble in acting appearing in the films Battleship, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Ocean's 8.
