The Gilded Age
The historical drama series The Gilded Age was created by Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes, and takes place in the United States during the boom years of the 1880s.
The Gilded Age follows Marian Brook, who moves to New York City to live with her aunts Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook, who represent the old-money set. Their neighbors, George and Bertha Russell are determined to use their "new money" to break into society. The show also features real-life characters such as Carrie Astor and T. Thomas Fortune.
