The Talk
Developed by actress Sara Gilbert, The Talk is an American talk show that premiered in 2010 on CBS.
The original panel of hosts featured Sara, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, and Leah Remini. They discussed the latest headlines, current events, and human-interest stories.
The Talk has often been compared to ABC's The View. The show came under scrutiny in 2011 when it was announced that Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were released as hosts. Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler went on to join the cast shortly after.
The show made headlines again in 2018 when Julie Chen left the show after her husband Les Moonves was accused of sexual misconduct and again in 2021 when Sharon Osbourne was fired from the show after allegations of racism. Sharon went on to be replaced by Jerry O'Connell, the show's first male co-host.
Other hosts to join the round table at one point or another has included Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Marie Osmond.
