The Watcher
The Ryan Murphy-helmed Netflix original series The Watcher is based on the true story of the Broaddus family, who moved to a house in Westfield, New Jersey and soon began receiving threatening letters from an individual calling themselves "the watcher." The series takes a great deal of creative liberty with the true-crime tale, adding in individuals who don't exist in real life and changing characters to differ from their true counterparts. Names have also been changed to protect those involved.
