Chrissy Teigen Reveals the Jealous 'Meltdown' She Endured After John Legend Shot a Music Video

When you're as successful, hilarious, gorgeous, and glamorous as Chrissy Teigen, it's difficult to imagine that there could be another human being on the planet that could truly make you jealous.
Sure, maybe small human jealousy. Like for me, I see someone with a great head of hair and I'm like, "Oh man that'd be great." Or someone who doesn't have child-bearing hips and looks like they can fit into a normal pair of pants — I find myself saying, "Must be nice."
But Chrissy admitted that there was one instance where she hit insane, "meltdown" levels of jealousy when it came to hubby John Legend, and it was all because of a music video.
Thankfully, for everyone who follows Chrissy on social media, she was her candid self and was 100% open and honest about her feelings, no matter how shallow and personal, when talking about the embarrassing escapade.
She started the epic Twitter thread with naming the video in question: John Legend's now decade-old "Green Light" song with Andre 3000.
People immediately reminded Chrissy that it was her least favorite song of John's, and wanted to know if this was the reason why.
Chrissy admitted that it might've had something to do with it, but she mostly just thought that the track was "corny".
Before going on her Twitter tirade, Chrissy went over the details of the video shoot with John to make sure she got her facts straight.
Apparently, some of John's "friends" thought it'd be a good idea to taunt Chrissy with the fact that the woman who plays John's love interest in the video was very, very attractive.
Chrissy was looking at the monitor while the video was being shot and she overheard someone remarking how good John looked with the girl he was dancing with in the video.
Which obviously didn't sit well with Chrissy.
And I mean, could you blame her? Look at how much fun they're having.
The reason Chrissy was doubly jealous was because she, herself, met John while filming a music video with him. She played his love interest, just like this other beautiful girl, so that only added insult to injury.
At that point, it didn't take much to get Teigen so worked up that she'd snap.
And snap she did. Chrissy ultimately had enough of the imagined relationship that she formed between John and the woman playing his object of desire in the video.
In defense of past-Chrissy, she was 22-years-old at the time. Most 22-year-olds I know are still on their parents' cell phone plan and don't know how to change a tire. So if I saw my man pretending to be affectionate with another woman in the same type of scenario I met him in, I'd probably storm off set in a deluge of tears and self-loathing too.
All's well that ends well, though. Thankfully the little spat only brought the two closer together, and ten years later, they're still just about the most adorable celebrity couple out there.
Especially when she's trolling John with relentless Arthur memes.
